Belarusian IT company LWO, a resident of the High-Tech Park of Belarus, will help digitalize the banking sector of Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Belarusian media.

The contract has already been signed, the news report said.

To date, the Belarusian side has created software for Uzbek partners. The remaining part is to adapt it to the customer, which is one of the leading banks in Uzbekistan.

The product is based on artificial intelligence; financial operations are performed by a neural network. Large investments were made in the product development. Programmers will install a turnkey digital bank by the end of this year. The developers are sure that the impact is tremendous for the banking sector.

"Uzbekistan is a very interesting market. It is a dynamically developing country. They have adopted a number of government programs that can bring them to becoming a leader of Central Asian region in a very short term. It is very important and interesting for us," Director of LWO, member of the Council for the Development of the Digital Economy of Belarus Oleg Kondratenko said

"As the number of users of this system is increasing, the effect of introducing new technologies will be greater," he added.

According to him, this project is an example of how top-level agreements contribute to the development of business contacts.

The project was discussed for the first time a year ago during the visit of the president of Belarus to Uzbekistan. At that time, the Belarusian IT LWO company presented its capabilities at the 'Made in Belarus' exhibition in Tashkent.
