Azerbaijan increases export of satellite services

The revenues of Azercosmos OJSC from the export of satellite and telecommunication services amounted to $43.4 million in 2019, which is 70 percent more compared to 2018, stated in the Export Preview of country’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, Trend reports on Jan. 29.

The volume of export of satellite services provided to 22 countries amounted to $2.9 million in December 2019.

In 2019, Revenues of Azercosmos OJSC from the export of satellite and telecommunication services amounted to 88 percent of company’s total revenues.

These services were provided to 27 countries, including France, the US, Great Britain, Malaysia and the UAE.

Azercosmos operates two communications satellites - Azerspace-1, Azerspace-2, and the low-orbit satellite Azersky.
