The revenues of mobile communication operators in Azerbaijan amounted to 371.7 million manat ($218.6 million) from January through February 2020, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, the cost of information and communication services in real terms increased by 21.1 percent compared to January through February 2019.
According to the committee, from January through February 2020 revenues of the mobile communications sector increased by almost 17.3 percent compared to the same period of last year.
Information and communication services worth over 2 billion manat ($1.2 billion) were rendered to the population and organizations in Azerbaijan in 2019, which is 15.9 percent more compared to 2018.
Some 71.6 percent of the total amount of information and communication services was rendered to the population.
At the same time, 78.9 percent of total revenues in the sector account for non-state enterprises.
