Azerbaijan’s Azercosmos OJSC has carried out the planning and preliminary assessment of the scope of work to clear the territory from mines and unexploded ordnance to restore the Azerbaijani lands liberated from the Armenian occupation, Trend reports referring to the report of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers for the last year.
As a result of monitoring, a proposal was made to clear 45 percent of the territories in the first stage, 35 percent in the second stage, and 17 percent in the third stage, the report says.
"The remaining three percent of the territory do not need mine clearance," the Cabinet of Ministers said in a report.
The individual residential buildings were preliminarily assessed in 727 territorial units of Azerbaijan, liberated from occupation during the military operation through the satellite monitoring. The possibility of resettlement and the probability of the population in each region were also analyzed through satellite monitoring.
