Signify company's "smart" lighting solutions operate through radio channels, as well as in 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks, which may well be applicable in Azerbaijani territories liberated from the Armenian occupation, Andrey Zakharkiv, regional director of Signify in the Caucasus and Central Asia, told Trend.
“At the moment, there is no necessary infrastructure on these lands, but in the future, when the company starts to implement its projects there, this situation will change for the better,” regional director added.
While speaking about ensuring security of smart projects, Zakharkiv said that security is provided by the corporate security department at Signify.
"The product safety department management consists of members of the corporate product safety department, business groups and the innovation development team,” Zakharkiv said. “It coordinates our security efforts. The security development team ensures the safety of product development actions."
The regional director stressed that Signify's security processes are built on a solid foundation of the sectoral standards, governance principles and the corresponding rules.
“I would like to emphasize that the policy and processes in Signify have been coordinated with global standards such as ISO / IEC 2700x (Information Security Management Systems) and ISA / IEC 62443 standards for product development,” regional director added.
“Our specialists from standards and regulation department cooperate with many global standards organizations such as IEC, ANSI and CENELEC, as well as alliances - IoT Security Foundation,” Zakharkiv said. “Signify's business processes are regularly audited internally and externally."
Signify currently has no confirmed projects for the implementation of lighting systems in the liberated Azerbaijani territories.
