Revenues from mobile communications and information services in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.1 billion manat ($647 million) from January through June 2021, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said.
According to the committee, the revenues of the mobile communications sector from January through June 2021 grew by 5.5 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
The committee also noted that 42.1 percent, or 463 million manat ($272 million), accounted for the share of the telecommunications market (mobile communication operators).
Some 74.5 percent of the total volume of communication and information services accounted for the services rendered to the population. At the same time, 80.7 percent of the income received in the sector fell to the share of non-state enterprises.
