Microsoft Corporation expressed last week its readiness to familiarize Azerbaijani manufacturers with a cloud-based carbon analytics platform for business, Trend reports.

As reported, this solution will enable companies to measure and analyze their own carbon emissions, set specific goals for sustainable development, and achieve them. Besides, Microsoft Solution includes familiar and new functions that bring people, resources, workflows, and business processes together for greater flexibility of organizations.

The corporation also informed about its regular meetings with corporate customers, partners, and vendors. At all these meetings, employees of the corporation share their experience in combating modern cyber threats.

Besides, last week Azerbaijan’s MilliON company announced the installation of its payment terminals until September in the country.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Economy stated that the return of part of the VAT and digitalization projects of the local tax authorities contribute to the promotion of non-cash payments among consumers in Azerbaijan.

According to the ministry, one of the main directions of expanding the use of digital technologies, which play an important role in ensuring the transition to cashless payments, is the introduction of new generation cash registers.

In accordance with the Tax Code, from January 1, 2019, tax incentives have been applied to legal entities and individuals working in the field of trade and catering, in proportion to the amount of non-cash payments, the ministry reminded.

Since the reporting date the amount of the profit (income) tax of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial and (or) public activities, imposed on goods sold at retail, has been reduced by 25 percent for a period of three years, added the ministry.

Last week, it was also reported that Azerbaijani entrepreneurs will be able to export domestically produced products to foreign markets through e-commerce.

In order to expand the sales opportunities for entrepreneurs, with the support of the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) of Azerbaijan, an online trade portal www.kobmarket.az was developed. According to the latest data, 55 online stores have already been created on the portal and more than 700 products have been posted. Registration on the portal allows entrepreneurs to expand their sales opportunities in the shortest possible time, as well as open an online store.
