BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. Revenues of Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan "Azercosmos" OJSC from the export of satellite and telecommunications services amounted to $8.5 million from January through April 2022, Trend reports citing "Export Review" of Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.
The share of export services in the total income of Azercosmos was 86 percent during the specified period.
Azercosmos exported satellite and telecommunications services to the UK ($2.2 million), France ($1.7 million), Luxembourg ($1.5 million), the UAE ($0.9 million) and Pakistan. ($0.5 million) during the reporting period.
Azercosmos exported services to a total of 31 countries for a total of $2.3 million in April 2022.
Azercosmos owns two communication satellites - Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2, also a low-orbit satellite Azersky.
Revenues of Azercosmos from the export of satellite and telecommunications services amounted to $45.3 million in 2021, which is $0.2 million more than in 2020.
