BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. The average download speeds for Azerbaijan's mobile and broadband Internet access were 33.95 Mbps (growth of 9.9 percent against the previous month) and 26.35 Mbps (an increase of 19 percent), respectively, in September 2022, Trend reports citing Ookla’s Open Data.

Azerbaijan has made its way up to 115th from 122nd by data transfer rate on broadband internet access.

In the reporting month, the mobile data download rate increased by 3.05 Mbps compared to the previous month. The outgoing mobile internet speeds were 10.22 Mbps, up by 14.6 percent against August 2022 (8.92 Mbps).

The data download speed fixed broadband Internet access grew by 4.2 Mbps compared to August 2022, whereas the outgoing speed was 27.32 Mbps (a growth of 4.43 Mbps compared to the previous month).

During this period, the average speed of incoming and outgoing downloads worldwide through the mobile network totaled 33.17 and 9.03 Mbps, respectively.

In September 2022, Azerbaijan ranked 61st among 140 countries in mobile data download speed and 115th among 182 countries in broadband internet data transfer rate.
