Azerbaijan's revenues from mobile operators grow by almost $57M

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. Azerbaijan's revenues from mobile communication services amounted to 820.8 million manat ($482.8 million) from January through April 2023, which is 11.95 percent, or 98.3 million manat ($57.8 million) more year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee told Trend.

At the same time, according to the ministry, 38.5 percent of revenues, or 354.2 million manat ($208.3 million), accounted for the share of the telecommunications market (mobile operators).

Overall, by the end of 2022, revenues from mobile communication services rose by 14.8 percent (358.6 million manat or $210.9 million) to over 2.7 billion manat ($1.5 billion) compared to 2021.

The revenues from mobile communication and information services in Azerbaijan amounted to 459.3 million manat ($270.18 million) in February 2023, up by 20.45 percent on annual basis.

There are three major mobile phone operators currently Azerbaijan: Azercell, Bakcell and Nar (Brand of Azerfon). Azercell, Bakcell and Nar offer 2G, 3G and 4G services.
