BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. Azercosmos has announced a new partnership with global satellite operator ABS, Trend reports.
The collaboration was officially launched during the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2024, held September 13-16 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
As part of this agreement, Azercosmos will offer its clients in Nigeria access to "Pay TV" services via an ABS satellite. This service will be available exclusively to subscribers of satellite or cable television providers.
The partnership marks a significant step for Azercosmos, allowing it to expand its business lines by not only selling its own satellite resources but also commercializing satellite services from global partners. This move is expected to increase the volume of communication services available in the African market.
"This collaboration, which creates new commercial opportunities across various sectors, will further enhance Azercosmos' service offerings in the African region. Quality, customer satisfaction, and continuity of service are the cornerstones of our work with ABS," Deputy Chairman of the Space Agency, Fuad Aslanov, stated.
"This partnership enables us to expand our reach and service offerings in the West African market. We look forward to leveraging our combined expertise to deliver reliable and high-quality Pay TV services in the region," Chief Commercial Officer of ABS, Ramsey Hanfour, added.
