Microsoft is planning to localize its new operational system Windows Vista for Azerbaijan, the Microsoft Azerbaijani branch head, Vladimir Tchaikovsky told Trend.
The new product will be available at the market in January 2007.
The localization of MS Windows XP for Azerbaijan has already been started. The other products will undoubtedly be localized as well, he said.
The release of the new Windows operating system, named Vista, previously it was named Longhorn, has been postponed several times. Microsoft has officially announced that Vista will be released in November 2006, but this date was then put off. The delay has been explained by the necessity to improve the security system. The company promised to start selling Windows Vista in January 2007 together with its new office product Office 2007. However, Vista will be available to the corporate users already this November.
