The Azerbaijan Minister of Communications and Information Technologies, Ali Abbasov, briefed the media that the Ministry is carrying out works to appoint the financial sources for the realization of the Electronic Government project. According to him, in 2007 the World Bank is ready to allocated $30 mln to Azerbaijan for realization of the E-Government. Earlier, during the visit of the Azerbaijan Ministry delegation to the USA, a meeting was held with the representatives of the World Bank. During the meeting, it was stated that the WB highly assesses the project of creating model of E-Government in Azerbaijan. At the same meeting, the WB announced its decision to allocate $30 mln to Azerbaijan for realizing the project. In addition, Korea, which has experience in applying the E-Government, expressed its readiness to provide financial assistance to Azerbaijan. Of course, the Azerbaijan Government will also finance its share here, Abbasov said.
