Kodak bombards market with four M-Series slim and stylish cameras

( Mobile ) - The public has spoken. They want slim and stylish cameras that don't come up short in terms of features. They also want these picture-takers to be as affordable as possible. Kodak has listened and delivered. The newly announced M-Series of digital cameras all feature digital image stabilization, high ISO (up to 1600) for low light conditions, and rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, all in packages that are thin and compact.

Shown here in Denim Blue, the Kodak EasyShare M753 comes with a 7-megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom, and a "vibrant 2.5-inch LCD screen." Designed for the fashion-conscious consumer, the M753 is available in black, silver, copper, pink, and blue. The EasyShare M853 is essentially the same unit, except it can produce 8-megapixel images and is available in white, red, graphite, silver, and espresso (as shown). The M753 and M853 retail for $150 and $180, respectively.

Stepping it up a notch, both the M873 (shown in Slate Silver, also available in Midnight Black) and the M883 (shown in Red Hot, also available in silver or black) are 8-megapixel cameras with thin all-metal bodies, ISO up to 1600, and HD still capture. The M883 is the more powerful of the two with face detection technology and a larger 3-inch LCD (compared to the 2.5-incher found on the M873). Price has not yet been set for the M883, which will launch in September, but we can tell you that the M873 is $200.
