WiFi-Touting Nikon Coolpix S51c Loves Flickr, Blogging

( Mobile ) - It seems like one of the most popular things to do these days is to throw WiFi into gadgetry that we traditionally did not think needed WiFi. This isn't the first digital camera with WiFi, but the Nikon Coolpix S51c is designed in such a way that it can be automatically linked to your Flickr account. What this means is that as soon as you take a picture, provided that you're within range of a WiFi hotspot, it can be uploaded and shared via your Flickr photostream.

The "more advanced" Internet photo upload service has been named my Picturetown. Using this service, you can wirelessly upload your pictures to Flickr or even to your own blog. You can be sure that you're getting plenty of resolution too, because the on-board sensor is a 7.99 megapixel unit. If you don't need WiFi, you can save a few bucks and get the otherwise functionally-identical Coolpix S51.

The Nikon Coolpix S51c and S51 are priced at $460 and $400, respectively. Both are scheduled to launch in September.
