Turkey's Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ministry has announced a tender for purchase of 96 high-speed locomotives.
Tender participation fee is 20,000 Turkish liras (excluding VAT), a source in the ministry told Trend.
The source said that local and foreign companies, excluding consortiums, can participate in the tender.
The source noted that to participate in the tender, the applicant company must submit a document certifying that its bank account has 300 million euros.
The applicant companies must also present documents certifying previous participation in several tenders, the cost of which is at least 600 million euros.
Bids and proposals of interested parties are accepted at: TCDD İşletmesi Genel Müdürlüğü Konferans Salonu 1.Kat - Altındağ İlçesi, Anafartalar Mahallesi Hipodrom Caddesi No: 3 Gar-ANKARA/TÜRKİYE.
Earlier it was reported that 10.8 billion Turkish liras will be invested in the development of railway infrastructure of Turkey in 2018.
Presently, work is underway in Turkey to implement 50 transport and communication projects.
