Kazakstan asks Russia to help hold summit on urban tourism

Bakhyt Sultanov, the Head of Nur-Sultan (former Astana) asked the government of Russia to help Kazakhstan in holding 8th The World Tourism Organization Global Summit on Urban Tourism, Trend reports via city’s akimat (administrative center).

The World Tourism Organization Global Summit on Urban Tourism will take place in October, 2019 in Nur-Sultan.

Bakhyt Sultanov met with Sergey Cheremin, the Minister of Moscow Government within the framework of Astana Economic Forum.

Sultanov stated the program presentation on Nur-Sultan’s strategic development to 2050 will be held soon. In this regard, Sergey Cheremin offered to make available Moscow’s best practices in addressing urban issues.

“The improvement and development of new Cooperation Program between Nur-Sultan and Moscow for year 2019-2021 is essential to continue the orderly and comprehensive work,” said Bakhyt Sultanov.
