BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. A delegation from seven tour operators of Azerbaijan will arrive in Dagestan (Russia) on August 14, Trend reports.
In order to plan and launch collaborative tours and boost tourist flow, tour operators from Azerbaijan will visit the most well-known areas and become familiar with the hotel infrastructure, according to the Dagestan Export Support Center.
From January through July 2023, 1.1 million tourists came to Azerbaijan, up 37.48 percent, according to the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.
First through tenth in terms of foreign visitors to Azerbaijan in July 2023 were Russia (72,400 people), Türkiye (31,300 people), Saudi Arabia (21,900 people), Iran (14,500 people), Georgia (8,700 people), India (7,800 people), Kazakhstan (6,300 people), Pakistan (5,900 people), the UAE (5,200 people), and Israel (4,400 people).
In 2022, 1.6 million foreign citizens are expected to visit Azerbaijan, more than double the figure of 790,062 in 2021.
