Turkmenistan Airlines will purchase Boeing 777-200F cargo airliner, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.
This purchase will be realized due to the new decree of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, that obligates Turkmenistan Airlines to conclude a contract with the Aircraft Finance Germany company for the purchase of a Boeing 777-200F cargo airliner.
"It is necessary to use all available opportunities to establish Turkmenistan as one of the largest international transport centers," stressed the president.
The head of the state said that the aircraft purchased by Turkmenistan Airlines must meet the requirements and international standards in terms of quality and safety.
Turkmenistan Airlines agency signed a contract with the US Boeing to purchase a new Boeing 777-200LR plane last year, the delivery of which is scheduled for January 2021. The appropriate model was chosen with the aim of expanding international operations to Europe and Asia and beyond.
