Turkey reveals data on six-month cargo transshipment via its Antalya port

The volume of cargo transshipment through the Turkish Antalya port in Antalya province surpassed 1.6 million tons from January through June 2020, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

Over the reporting period, 124,710 tons of cargo were shipped through the Antalya port by ships flying the Turkish flags, while ships flying the flags of other countries transported over 1.4 million tons of cargo.

No cargo was transited through the mentioned port during the indicating period, noted the ministry.

In 1H2020, the volume of cargo movement via Turkish ports amounted to 179.6 million tons.

Meanwhile, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 14.3 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment through the Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 6.9 million tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries – 158.3 million tons.

Over 36.1 million tons of cargo were transported through the ports of Turkey during the first six months of this year.

In June 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 28.1 million tons. At the same time, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2.4 million tons.

The volume of transshipment of goods through the ports of Turkey by ships flying their countries’ flags exceeded 1 million tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries – to 24.6 million tons.

In June 2020, 5.4 million tons of cargo were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey.
