Egyptian air operator enters Uzbek market

Egyptian Air Cairo air operator has announced the opening of regular flights between Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt and Tashkent in Uzbekistan from 25 November 2020, Trend reports referring to the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation.

The operator plans to operate four flights a week starting from April 2021 in addition to charter flights between Sharm el Sheikh and Samarkand, which the company wants to launch at the end of December this year.

Flights are now available online at aircairo.com. It will also be possible to purchase air tickets through the travel agency ATMC (Airline and Travel Management Company), which is the representative office of Air Cairo GSA in Uzbekistan.

Director of the ATMC travel agency and representative of Air Cairo GSA in Uzbekistan Dilmurodkhon Bakhtiyorkhonov said that Air Cairo is an excellent alternative in the tourism market for Uzbek citizens traveling around the world.

Airline and Travel Management Company has been the general agent of flydubai for two years now and will now be the general agent of Air Cairo.

Earlier it was reported that air traffic to Sharm el-Sheikh is planned to be increased due to the appearance of a new Egyptian low-cost airline on the Uzbek market. It was about Nile Air, which asked the committee to help in obtaining the necessary slots for flights on the Sharm El Sheikh - Tashkent - Sharm El Sheikh route.
