Volume of loaded/unloaded cargo in Iran’s Anzali port climbs

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) increased by 8.7 percent in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 23 through November 21, 2021), compared to the 7th month (September 23 through October 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 106,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the eighth month. Of this, 40,000 tons were loaded and 65,900 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 38,300 tons of cargo were exported and 65,300 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 1,690 tons of cargo were loaded and 147 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as, 446tons of cargo were unloaded for other purposes in the eighth month, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 51,100 tons of essential products, 2,600 tons of metal products, 11,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,200 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 8th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 9,140 tons of chemicals, 22,500 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 8,170 tons of container products, and 139 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

As reported, about 11.1 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the eighth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.7 million tons were loaded and 5.4 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 13.4 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
