The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) decreased by 11 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 23 through December 21, 2021), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 394,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, 225,000 tons were loaded and 169,000 tons were unloaded.

During the ninth month, 224,000 tons of cargo were exported and 50,300 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.

In addition, 64 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 119,000 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 9th month.

Also, 699 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 11,800 tons of essential products, 1,840 tons of metal products, 195,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 2,910 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 2,330 tons of chemicals, 2,090 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 34,700 tons of container products, 143,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

About 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the ninth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.28 million tons were loaded and 5.64 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 8.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
