Kazakhstan reports increase in revenues from pipelines transport

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. Kazakhstan’s revenue from the product transportation via pipelines amounted to 601.07 billion tenge ($1.4 billion) over the period from January through April 2022, which is 22.1 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The revenue for April 2022 amounted to 160.1 billion tenge ($373.2 million), which is 26.4 percent more compared to April 2021.

The volume transported during the reporting period amounted to 95.3 million tons, which is 12.1 percent more compared to the same period of last year (24.07 million in April 2022, 15.4 percent more compared to April 2021).

Cargo turnover amounted to 50.7 billion ton-kilometers which is 16.8 percent more than during the same period of last year. The cargo turnover for April 2022 stood at 12.9 billion t-km, which is 19.4 percent more compared to the same month of 2021.

The majority of the products transported via pipelines accounted for the Atyrau region of the country, i.e. 28.9 million tons over the period from January through April 2022, which is 4.8 percent more compared to the same period last year.

Kazakhstan’s largest oil pipeline company is KazTransOil, which provides services on oil transportation on the domestic market and for export.

The company is an owner of the largest network of main oil pipelines and water lines in the country, the total length of which amounts to 5,376 km of oil pipelines and 1,975 km of water pipeline.
