BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 24.1 percent, in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, more than 343,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, about 203,000 tons were loaded and 140,000 tons were unloaded.

During the 3rd month, 197,000 tons of cargo were exported and 50,600 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.

In addition, 33 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for transit, as well as 45 tons of cargo were loaded and 90,000 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 3rd month.

Also, 5,380 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 8,940 tons of essential products, 7 tons of metal products, over 137,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 1,850 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 5,420 tons of chemicals, 2,440 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 45,300 tons of container products, and about 142,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

In general, about 12.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.8 million tons were loaded and 6.8 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6.4 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
