BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 28. The volume of oil and non-oil products loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports increased by 9 percent, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
Overall, more than 181 million tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports within the mentioned period.
Within 10 months, approximately 91.1 million tons of crude oil and related products were loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports, which is an increase of 17 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
"In addition, about 90 million tons of non-oil products were loaded and unloaded at the country’s ports in 10 months, which is increase of 1 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year," the report said.
At the same time, 65.4 million tons of oil and non-oil products were unloaded at Iran's ports in 10 months. This is an increase of 12 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Of this, 23.3 million tons were accounted for crude oil and related products and 42.1 million tons for non-oil products.
Moreover, approximately 116 million tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded at the country's ports during the mentioned period. This is an increase of 10 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Of this, 67.8 million tons were accounted for crude oil and related products and 47.8 million tons for non-oil products.
Also, 2.1 million TEU containers were loaded and unloaded at the Iranian ports in 10 months. This is an increase of 12 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
