BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 4. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 3.7 times for the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 22 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
Approximately 37,300 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the port over the 9th month. Some 28,700 tons of cargo were loaded and 8,590 tons were unloaded.
Moreover, 25,700 tons of cargo were exported and about 4,096 tons were imported through the Genaveh port during the reporting month.
Within the 9th month, 2,930 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,960 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.
In addition, 388 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transshipment and 1,280 tons were unloaded for other purposes over the 9th month.
Thus, 350 tons of construction materials and mining products, 36,500 tons of small and assorted products and 388 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port within the 9th month of the current Iranian year.
In general, approximately 12 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 9th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.6 million tons were loaded and 5.4 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 8.1 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
