BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 6. The volume of cargo unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) increased by 82.6 percent for the 9-th month of the current Iranian year (November 22 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
Approximately 20,000 tons of cargo were unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port within the 9th month.
Of this, 17,500 tons were unloaded in the port for imports, while 2,480 tons were for other purposes.
So, 17,500 tons of essential products, and 2,480 tons of crude oil and related products were unloaded at the Fereidoonkenar port in the 9-th month.
In general, approximately 12 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 9th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.6 million tons were loaded and 5.4 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 8.1 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
Iran's Fereidoonkenar port is located on 69 hectares of land. The port has 2 platforms and 700,000 tons of cargo can be loaded and unloaded in the port per year.
