BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at the Chabahar port of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran), decreased by 19.6 percent in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 21 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
More than 361,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at the Chabahar port in the 11th month. Of this, 84,600 tons were loaded and about 276,000 tons were unloaded.
In addition, 83,700 tons of cargo were exported and 85,900 were imported through the Chabahar port over the reporting month.
At the same time, about 191,000 tons of cargo were unloaded at the port for cabotage, as well as 949 tons were loaded and 9 tons were unloaded for other purposes during the 11th month.
Some 52,400 tons of essential products, 17 tons of metal products, 83,700 tons of construction and mining materials, and 3,240 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the 11th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 488 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 29 tons of small and assorted products, 30,600 tons of container products, and about 191,000 tons of crude oil and related products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.
In total, approximately 12.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 11th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.9 million tons were loaded and 5.88 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 1.37 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
