ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 19. Turkmenistan is taking certain steps to establish a cargo base in the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, Trend reports.

According to the Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency, the port has already updated the tariff system, which has created new opportunities for transporting grain crops from Russia.

Negotiations are currently underway to satisfy the interests of the parties on the shipment of goods from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to Russia and Europe from the port of Turkmenbashi.

Furthermore, it is possible to place goods under a customs regime in the port, that is, in a free zone without paying any customs duties for up to 3 years.

Turkmenistan is actively developing its port system, opening up new prospects for economic growth and transport infrastructure.

With the participation of important initiatives, the country improves conditions for the transportation of goods through its ports, which helps to strengthen trade ties and create a favorable environment for international cooperation.
