The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) supports the development of the greenhouse sector in Turkmenistan through the provision of funding, advice and opportunities for the exchange of business experience, Trend reports referring to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET).

Thanks to the support of the EBRD and the Netherlands, the Turkmen greenhouse enterprises “Yigit”, “Mizemez” and “Nurly Meydan” took part in the international exhibition of horticultural technologies GreenTech Amsterdam 2019.

Participation in the prestigious forum allowed the well-known Turkmen producers of tomatoes, strawberries and flowers to become familiar with advanced experience and innovative technologies in the field of greenhouse gardening, and expand business contacts and export opportunities, the report said.

The annual event and its program were intended for international producers in the food industry and ornamental horticulture and dedicated to vertical farms and greenhouse gardening, autonomous technologies, growing organic products, long-term crop protection, as well as climate, water, and energy efficiency issues.
