Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend: Experienced geologists in Kazakhstan will be sent abroad for internships , Deputy Prime Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev said in Astana on Nov.7.
"Considering importance of developing geology, it is necessary to send abroad the experienced geologists not only to study, but also just for an internship to Canada or Australia, so that they could learn new industry development trend," Issekeshev said at the meeting of the International round table on 'Prospects and the main directions of development of geology and subsoil use in Kazakhstan.'
According the minister, now the geological professions have been included in the list of specialties in the Bolashak presidential program to obtain relevant knowledge in the leading universities of the world.
"We hold talks to increase grants for geological specialties" deputy prime minister said.
Currently the experts of the ministry and Kazgeologiya intend to enter into educational councils at technical universities in Kazakhstan in order to form jointly the future staff for the industry.
The Deputy prime minister recalled that the president has repeatedly stressed that the key condition for the success of the new economic policy must be supported by staff. In order to improve the resource management and to introduce modern management tools and principles of corporate governance in the public sector, the Ministry completely updated the management staff of the Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use and the top management of Kazgeologiya JSC.
The staff is formed of highly qualified professionals. In Kazgeologiya JSC there are 35 professionals with specialized education including five candidates and Doctor (PhD) in Geology and Mineralogy, and eight honorary Kazakh geologists, standouts in geological prospecting and pioneers.
