Kazakh office paper manufacturer suspends operations due to deficit of resources

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 7. The plant for the production of office paper - "Goida.kz" in Kazakhstan’s Nur-Sultan has temporarily suspended its operations due to shortage of raw materials, Trend reports via Kazinform news agency.

The plant was launched in 2020 with a production capacity of 150,000 – 200,000 packs of A4 office paper per month. Currently, the plant employs 20 people and in connection with the suspension of operations, half of them went on vacation without pay.

Administration believes that the situation is temporary, it will stabilize in May and the plant will resume its activities.

The company is considering other options for the import of raw materials, in particular from China and India.

Russia and Finland are the major suppliers of raw materials for the plant.
