BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. Butadiene plant construction was launched in Kazakhstan on the territory of the special economic zone for the development of petrochemistry at the Karabatan site, Trend reports, citing Kazakh media.
The construction is set to be completed in 2025. According to the available information, 5 different products will be produced.
It is estimated that the construction will create 2000 workplaces for the duration of the construction. Some 700 people will be employed upon commissioning of the plant.
The special economic zone for the development of petrochemistry at the Karabatan site is located 43 kilometers from Atyrau.
