BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 5. Total assets of Kazakhstan’s bank sector as of November 1, totaled 42.4 trillion Kazakh tenge ($90.4 billion), a 1.5-percent, or 0.6 trillion Kazakh tenge ($1.2 billion) increase, compared to October, Trend reports with reference to the Agency for Regulation and Development of Financial Market.
The increase in assets in October 2022 occurred as a result of an increase in the loan portfolio by 1.8 percent, or 410 billion Kazakh tenge ($874.6 million).
The assets increased by 12.6 percent, or 4.7 trillion Kazakh tenge ($10 billion), compared to January.
High liquidity assets account for 30.8 percent of total assets and reached 13 trillion Kazakh tenge ($27.7 billion), which enables the banks to fulfill their obligations to customers fully.
