Kazakhstan plans to build multiple renewable energy facilities

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 29. The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan is selecting projects for the construction of renewable energy facilities, Trend reports.

The total established capacity for the year 2023 amounts to 860 MW, with a breakdown by types of power plants: solar power plants - 100 MW, wind power plants - 500 MW, hydropower plants - 250 MW, and biogas power plants - 10 MW.

In this regard, the Ministry of Energy invites all interested parties to participate in auctions for the selection of projects for the construction of renewable energy facilities.

In order to prepare and study in detail the projects of investors to participate in auctions for the selection of renewable energy projects, the Ministry has developed and approved the schedule of auctions for 2023 and the Plan of auctions for 2024-2027.

Interested parties are encouraged to seek clarifications and additional information from the official websites of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as from the Financial Settlement Center of Renewable Energy LLP and KOREM JSC.
