ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 21. Georgian Batumi Oil Terminal LLC intends to expand the volume of Kazakh fuel oil transshipment through the Batumi oil terminal to 90,000 tons per month by December 2023, Trend reports.
According to KazTransOil JSC (Kazakhstan's firm that owns 100% of Batumi Oil Terminal LLC), the volume of transshipment will increase by 30 percent.
The adoption of varied tariff rates based on the volume of transshipment has attracted additional volumes of transshipment of Kazakh fuel oil through the Batumi oil port.
From January to November 2023, the total volume of black oil products transshipped through the Batumi oil port was 682,000 tons, including 443,000 tons of fuel oil from Kazakhstan.
The Batumi oil terminal's technical capabilities allow it to ship up to 1.5–2 million tons of fuel oil per year.
Through Batumi Oil Terminal LLC (BOT), KazTransOil JSC directly owns and manages producing assets in Georgia. Using its own docks, process pipelines, and tanks, BOT provides services for transhipment, pumping, and storage of oil, petroleum products, and gas, as well as their processed products.
The national operator of Kazakhstan's primary oil pipeline is KazTransOil JSC. It is a subsidiary of KazMunayGas JSC (Kazakhstan's national oil and gas corporation). KazTransOil JSC maintains a diverse network of key oil pipelines totaling 5,400 kilometers in length.
