BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The volume of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover increased significantly in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same period of 2021, Trend reports via the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, Kyrgyzstan imported goods worth $1.7 billion from January through March 2022, which is an increase of 70 percent compared to $995.5 million in the same period of 2021.
While, Kyrgyzstan’s exports amounted to $367 million in the first quarter of 2022, which is a decrease of 13.6 percent compared to $424.9 million in the reporting period of 2021.
Kyrgyzstan's total volume of foreign trade turnover increased by 50 percent from January through March 2022 compared to the same period last year - from $2.1billion to $1.4billion.
