BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan amounted to $3.2 million from January through February 2023, which is an increase of almost 3 times compared to $1.1 million in the same period of 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the statistics, the value of Kyrgyzstan’s imports from Azerbaijan made up $2.1 million, which is 9.6 times more than in the first two months of 2022 ($220,710).
At the same time, the value of Kyrgyz exports to Azerbaijan totaled $1.1 million, increasing by 1.2 times compared to $911,400 from January through February 2022.
Reportedly, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan reached $1.6 million in January 2023, increasing by 2.37 times, compared to the same period in 2022 ($692,230).
Kyrgyzstan’s imports from Azerbaijan in the reporting period made up $1 million, increasing by 26.13 times over January 2022 ($38,730).
The value of exports from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan in the previous month amounted to $631,000 which is 3 percent less than in the same period of the last year ($653,530).
Meanwhile, according to the committee, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan from January through December 2022 amounted to $10.81 million, increasing by 19.87 percent compared to the same period in 2021 ($9.018 million).
Kyrgyzstan's imports from Azerbaijan stood at $4.7 million from January through December 2022, which is 21.36 percent less than in the same period in 2021 ($6.023 million).
Kyrgyzstan's exports to Azerbaijan amounted to $6.07 million from January through December 2022, which is 102.78 percent more compared to the same period in 2021 ($2.9 million).
