BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. Chemonics International is currently implementing two projects in Tajikistan on behalf of the USAID, a source in the Chemonics International told Trend.

One of the projects is the USAID Rural Water Supply project, which aims to improve water supply and resource management, as well as to improve the health and resilience of rural communities of Tajikistan.

This project was launched in October 2020 and is expected to be completed in September 2025. It's expected to provide reliable and sustainable drinking water access to about 45,000 Tajik citizens.

The USAID plans to complete several other rehabilitation projects and provide sustainable drinking water access to over 20,000 people in Tajikistan in 2023.

The other project is 'Learn Together Activity'. It is a five-year project (from October 2020 through September 2025) which aims to improve Tajik primary students' learning skills, with a focus on improving reading comprehension, critical thinking skills, and mathematics.

The source notes that, as a leading implementing partner for the USAID and other donors, Chemonics International supports these donors’ strategic objectives in the country.

Chemonics International is an international development company, founded in 1975, which provides consulting and development services in more than a hundred countries around the world.
