DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, December 28. The volume of foreign investments (FDI) by Tajikistan over the past seven years amounted to approximately 95 billion somoni ($8.6 billion), with 30 billion somoni ($2.7 billion) being foreign direct investments (FDI), Trend reports.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon disclosed this information during his address to the Supreme Assembly of the country.
The president noted that while this amount isn't very substantial, the process is ongoing consistently. Additionally, Rahmon clarified that currently, the country is implementing 724 state investment projects with a total value of 152 billion somoni (near $14 billion).
On December 28, the president of Tajikistan delivered his annual address to the Supreme Assembly, outlining the main directions of the country's domestic and foreign policies.
The event was attended by the Prime Minister, government members, the Head of the Executive Office of the President of Tajikistan, heads of ministries and state committees, representatives of various social, political, and creative associations, leaders of republican enterprises and institutions, banks, a group of businessmen and entrepreneurs, youth activists, representatives of diplomatic missions, and journalists.
