BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. The German Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW) is in talks to open an office in Tajikistan, a source at BVMW told Trend.
"We currently have over 80 international offices worldwide, though none in Tajikistan at this time. However, we are in ongoing discussions with stakeholders in Tajikistan to find a suitable representative, and we are hopeful that we will establish a BVMW office in Tajikistan in the near future,’’ the source said.
The organization noted that BVMW has member companies conducting business in Tajikistan.
"We even held an online event about doing business in Tajikistan, which was tied to the signing of an MoU with TajInvest. Several BVMW companies active in Tajikistan participated in that event,’’ the source said.
The organization noted that BVMW has many member companies involved in sourcing skilled workers for the German labor market. One such member company is Janser Consult, which is actively engaged in Central Asia, including Tajikistan, to facilitate this process.
The organization noted that BVMW is a cross-industry association with thousands of members from various sectors.
"We represent small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the German economy. Most of our members are smaller companies focusing on their business within Germany and are not active abroad due to the many risks associated with international business. However, we also have some larger SME companies with sufficient expertise and resources that do engage in international markets,’’ the BVMW said.
