The Turkmen President has received The UK's Special Envoy on Trade Affairs in Turkmenistan, Charles Hendry, the Turkmen government said on Wednesday.
Hendry conveyed Prime Minister David Cameron's greetings addressed to the Turkmen people. He wished them happiness, peace and stability in 2013.

'It was emphasised that the British government attaches great importance to the comprehensive strengthening of a traditional dialogue with rapidly developing Turkmenistan', the message said. 'Its peaceful and highly constructive foreign policy was approved and supported by the world community'.

The Turkmen leader has also expressed greetings to Queen Elizabeth II and head of the British government with whom Turkmenistan intends to continue developing successful cooperation on a bilateral and multilateral basis.

The sides stressed the high level of inter-state relations and impressive prospects of their further development, taking into account the priorities and national interests of the two countries.

Ashgabat and London referred to such areas as trade and economic, investment, fuel-energy sector, construction, sports and media as being among the priorities of cooperation.

Petrofac, Dragon Oil, Burren Energy, Gaffney, Cline & Associates, De La Rue, and several other companies operate in Turkmenistan.

London considers Turkmenistan having the world reserves of natural gas, as a key player in the international energy market.

The leadership of the Central Asian country emphasised the prospects of Turkmen natural gas supplies to European markets, including Great Britain. The leadership added that this fully meets Turkmenistan's plans to diversify its energy exports to world markets.

Ashgabat hosted several business forums. The representatives of Aero Assets Ltd, AJW Aviation, BG Group, BP Exploration Operating Company Limited, Bridgehouse Capital, BSP International Foundations Ltd, Cape Industrial Services Europe Limited , Construction Equipment Association, De La Rue, Eagle Scientific Limited, Eurasia Group, Gomaco International Ltd , HSBC Bank PLC , Over Arup & Partners, Petrofac and Shell International Ltd attended them.
