Orazmuhammet Chariyev has been appointed Turkmenistan's extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Qatar according to a decree of the Turkmen president.
The diplomat will also continue to head Turkmenistan's diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia.
As it was reported earlier, Turkmenistan and Qatar are energy countries and among the world's largest gas producers and exporters. The countries aim at developing constructive cooperation in this sphere.
Meanwhile, the two countries are also studying partnership opportunities in the spheres of trade, construction industry, transport and textiles.
