BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. The Lebapgazchykarysh department of Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas State Concern exported more than 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China from January through March 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan website.
During this period, gas extraction amounted to 3.1 billion cubic meters. In addition, 14,000 tons of gas condensate were produced.
Meanwhile, in 2021, the production of natural gas by the Lebapgazchykarysh department amounted to 12.4 billion cubic meters.
The Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline was commissioned in 2009 and originates in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan pays great attention to the establishment of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
