BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree "On the construction of an international airport complex in the village of Jebel in the Balkan region", Trend reports citing Arzuw News.

A parking lot designed for six aircraft and four helicopters, a new 3,200-meter runway and two taxiways will be built on the territory of the complex. Aircraft ground handling facilities will also be built here.

The area of the territory of the new airport complex will be 275 hectares, and it will have a capacity of 100 passengers per hour.

Signing the decree, the President stressed that the new international airport complex will be of great importance in strengthening the material and technical base of domestic civil aviation and is intended to play an important role in increasing the volume of passenger and cargo traffic.
