BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 6. Turkmenistan imports a large batch of wheat seeds of varieties "Alekseich" and "Bezostaya" from Russia, Trend reports via “Business Turkmenistan” news agency.

According to the information, a total of 6,000 tons of wheat seeds from Russia will be imported to the Mary region of Turkmenistan, of which 1,000 tons have already been delivered.

These seed varieties will be sown on a total of 35,500 hectares of the Mary region of Turkmenistan.

In total, wheat will be grown in this region this sowing season on 170,000 hectares of land, for which more than 39,000 tons of seeds have been produced.

The agricultural sector in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. This is one of the most important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
