BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. The Baherden garment factory located in the Ahal region in the south of Turkmenistan has increased production in 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

According to the information, during the reporting period, the company manufactured products worth 14.5 million Turkmen manats ($4.1 million). The production growth rate compared to 2021 was 28 percent.

During this period, the factory produced more than 663,000 different garments.

The factory sews special clothes, blankets, mattresses, pillows, pillowcases and other sewing products from high-quality cotton fabric.

Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.

Major investments will be directed not only to expanding existing capacities but also to creating more than 10 new production facilities based on current enterprises.

In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
