ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 3. More than 38.4 million dollars were sold on the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, this is 40 percent less than in the previous reporting period, during which the cost of raw materials sold amounted to $64 million.
For foreign currency, entrepreneurs from the UAE, Türkiye and Afghanistan purchased low-sulfur heating oil, polypropylene, base oil, produced at technological installations of the Turkmennebit State Concern, polyethylene containers produced by the Turkmenhimiya State Concern, and kerosene.
At the same time, cotton yarn and harsh fabric were sold to businessmen from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan for foreign currency.
Turkmen businessmen purchased polypropylene produced by the enterprises of the state concern Turkmennebit, sheet glass, and raw silk for the domestic market.
At the last auction of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, 17 transactions were made last week.
Meanwhile, the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange was established in Turkmenistan on July 29, 1994, which is the most important body of state regulation for export-import operations of goods.
