ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 26. Turkmenistan's Demiryollary (Turkmen Railways) OJSC is rolling up its sleeves and striking while the iron is hot, chatting with foreign companies to give the country's railway infrastructure a much-needed facelift at the international transport and mobility exhibition InnoTrans 2024 in Berlin, Trend reports via the OJSC's statement.

The event brought together the cream of the crop, with company representatives rubbing elbows with top-notch railway equipment manufacturers like Spain’s Talgo, France’s Alstom, Switzerland’s Stadler Rail, the Czech Republic’s Skoda Transportation, and Croatia’s TZV Gredelj.

According to the statement, the meetings aim to cast a wide net on delving into cutting-edge technologies and sharing know-how, paving the way for innovative solutions in Turkmenistan's transport infrastructure.

The InnoTrans 2024 exhibition features 2,940 companies from 59 countries offering cutting-edge solutions in the fields of railway technology, infrastructure, and public transport.

Demiryollary OJSC is part of the Ministry of Industry and Communications of Turkmenistan and plays a key role in developing the country's transport infrastructure, providing passenger and freight railway services. The company serves approximately six million passengers annually and actively participates in international transport, offering competitive rates for export, import, and transit cargo through Turkmenistan and to the CIS countries, the Baltic, Europe, and Asia.
